Well here's the story I have liked this guy at my church for over three years and I really want him to notice me. I have tried doing different things like cutting my hair in a different way or showing an intrest in something he likes. But he told one of my friends that he didn't think that I liked him cause I wouldn't talk to him and it's totally not that I am just way too shy and can't bring myself to do it. And it seems like he has done little things to let me know he likes me but maybe it's just my imagination. Like he knows I love Teddy Geiger and on his myspace he says he wants to meet him so he can kick his butt. So I jus don't know. My friends think he likes me too. PLEASE HELP! WHAT CAN I DO???!!!?!?!?!?

Write him a note and have your friend give it to him. Sounds like he likes you, doesn't sound like you have much to lose! In your note, you could say something like "hey, let's do lunch sometime, you seem really cool and i'd like to get to know you. sorry I haven't said much, I'm shy sometimes!" Depends how you want to approach it, OR you could just have your friend tell him that you want to talk sometime, but that you are just shy. Confidence! Get it up! ;)

Be more direct. It sounds like you both need to be more direct with eachother. You're trying to send subliminal messages which keeps you both guessing. You both keep trying to say the same thing without actually really saying it.

I'm traditional though and I think that he should be the first to admit his feelings and ask you out. Sooo...you have to encourage him...build his confidence in some way. Right now he's afraid you might reject him.

So the question your asking is how do you build a boy's confidence without embarrassing yourself....

It's simple. It's easy to boost a guy's ego, especially younger ones. When I was younger, all a girl had to do was compliment my shirt or tell me that they thought I was really good at basketball. I know it sounds cheezy but it worked and it made me feel all powerful and confident.

Think of something you like about him and tell him about it. Find another quality and repeat. Always smile afterwords. It won't be long before he gets the picture, tells his guy friends that he thinks someone (you) likes him. Once his friends find out they'll put pressure on him to ask you out. It may take awhile but guys always cave in to peer pressure eventually.
